Pupils in in the early years age group at Chatten Free School will receive a highly individualised curriculum in the same way that all Chatten Pupils do.
In addition to this as part of the EYFS guidance we will ensure that pupils are able to access the 7 key areas of EYFS learning in a way which is appropriate to them as individual and within the scope of the school mission. These areas are:
- Communication and language
- Physical development
- Personal, social and emotional development
- Understanding the world
- Expressive arts and design
Pupils will have access to outside spaces and opportunities to explore the world through play in a way which is supportive to the development of the individual pupil.
In the final term of the year in which the child reaches age five, and no later than 30 June in that term, the EYFS Profile will be completed for each child in this group. This will be shared with parents and the local authority. This is in addition to our standard assessment recording and reporting policies.
